Stories

Here are a few samples of stories I am currently working on.

Soul Saber

"What a pittiful face. Don't let me see it around here again.",the man groans, wiping the few drops of blood from his upper lip.
Samuel Arlida had seen this man once before, but couldn't quite place him. He picked himself up from the cold floor, and with a newly found limp,
walked out the door. The street was deserted. Only stale air with a mean chill. Sam grabbed his bag and untied it. "how will I make it to Gowsten in this condition? I must get this to Drakken
before he hurts her.", he cries silently to himself.
The sun was finally beginning to rise. It seemed to be getting brighter than usual. Sam covered his eyes and started slowly up the path. A sharp pain shot through his leg and then his upper body.
As his head hit the dirt he cried out,"Gia!".

"Are you feeling any better Mr. Arlida?", Sam could hear the man's faint voice, but could not open his eyes.
"I am Dr. Margola. I found you, a helpless lump, in the street last night. I am here to make sure the package is delivered. I hope you weren't planning on leaving town with it.", the strange man said as he slammed the cell door shut.
"Where am I? Why can't I see? I have the sword and I was on my way to Gowsten when I was beat up at the pub. They tried to take it from me, but I fought them off. I won't let you hurt Gia. The sword will be delivered as promised.", Sam
begged.
"I am confident that you will, but first I need to test you. I have given you a dose of my new formula. You will spend the next 2 days in this cell. Today you are blind, tomorrow you will not speak. Then you will know how Gia feels.
She is given a shot of the formula every other day and will continue to until you bring the sword. Drakken senses something different in you, and now, so do I. Let the formula take over and ride it through. When I get my information I will
let you go. Sleep tight", he says as he turns and then shuts off the light.

Untitled Story Plot
In Hendoah the sun does not rise. Children do not play in the streets like they
did once before. Instead, a dark spirit, a cloud of despair hangs over the skies. The people have
come to call these the "dark days". They believe that some day a true hero will come and remove the curse
that has befallen their once beautiful land. "To dream of a better life is to live out your dream to the end. Even if the dream is just that....a dream.", they say.
That's where our story begins.........
